About Our Manager
Our Registered Manager, Tony Wilson, has worked in elderly care since 2000. Tony has been the registered manager at Bournville Grange since July 2017. He has worked for the company since 2006 when he joined the company as a senior care assistant and worked his way up to being a registered Manager in one of our sister homes. He is a qualified NVQ Assessor, holds the NVQ Levels 2, 3, 4 as well as The Registered Managers Award combining with the NVQ Leadership & management in Care Services.
Managing for eight years at two homes within the Magna Care group – Tudor house Residential Home from March 2011 and then on to Bournville Grange Residential home.
Over these years, he has been open to many challenging situations and different aspects of care – such as dementia care, mild mental health needs and day-to-day activities of daily living.
He has very strong and professional relationships with a large multidisciplinary team including CPN’s, D.N.’s, G.P.’s, MHT’s, SALT and many more to ensure a person-centred approach to each individual’s needs are met and to provide optimum care.
Philosophy of Care
Bournville Grange aims to provide its service users with a secure, relaxed, and homely environment in which their care, well-being and comfort are of prime importance.
Carers will strive to preserve and maintain the dignity, individuality and privacy of all service users within a warm and caring atmosphere, and in so doing will be sensitive to the service user’s ever-changing needs. Such needs may be medical/therapeutic (for physical and mental welfare), cultural, psychological, spiritual, emotional and social, and service users are encouraged to participate in the development of their individualised Care Plans in which the involvement of family and friends may be appropriate and is greatly valued.
This will be achieved through programmes of activities designed to encourage mental alertness, self-esteem, and social interaction with other service users and with recognition of the following core values of care, which are fundamental to the philosophy of our Home:

All Care Staff within the Home will be appropriately qualified to deliver the highest standards of care. A continuous staff-training programme is implemented to ensure that these high standards are maintained in line with the latest developments in Care Practices as may be laid down in appropriate Legislation, Regulations and the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The aim of the service is to provide a safe, secure, warm, homely environment for service users who have a range of health issues. The home provider and staff work in partnership with health and social services representatives to enable a person to live with support and quality care within the care homes, all regulations in accordance to the care quality commission are adhered too
Assisting service users with daily living tasks that enable them to sustain their tenancy. Encouraging service users awareness to the importance of maintaining a healthy and secure living environment.
Promoting a fair and equitable service, sensitive in meeting individual needs. Practising user involvement through regular consultation about the service provision and regular reviewing of individual care needs.
